Montessori of Olympus Cove

We have two convenient eastside locations. Oakridge Montessori is located off the eastside 215 freeway just east of Wasatch Blvd in Oakridge Elementary School. Cottonwood Canyon Montessori is on Fort Union Blvd (7200 South) just west of Wasatch Blvd.

Our Schools:

Located in the shadows of beautiful Mount Olympus, we offer a caring environment, enthusiastic staff, and supportive parents. Our goal is to help the child develop a positive self-image, encouraging responsible freedom and inner self-discipline. By use of the Montessori Method we promote the intellectual, physical and social development of the young child. In a carefully prepared environment, the child is encouraged to progress at his or her own rate while experiencing the joy of learning. As the child's self-esteem develops, so does the social progression of the classroom. The children learn to respect each other and develop a collective sense of affection and cooperation. At our school all children are welcome.

Our Programs:

We offer a traditional Montessori program. Our unique locations offer wonderful opportunities for outdoor class time. Our teachers and aids are all Montessori certified or trained. At Oakridge Montessori we are housed in a public school and directly across from the kindergarten classrooms. Because of this we have the advantage of working with the kindergarten staff to ensure that our children will have an easy transition into public school and that their education exceeds that required in public school.

We accept children ages three through kindergarten. At Oakridge Montessori, we operate on a traditional school year calendar and are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 5:00. At Cottonwood Canyon Montessori, we operate year round and are open from 7:30 - 5:30. Both schools offer a variety of class sessions, part- or full-time.
